VEO began as an idea 10 years ago by founder Mrs. Kyleia Malone who out of necessity as a military wife was faced with the challenge of finding work from home while supporting her husband through deployments to Iraq and other bases. After speaking with other military wives, disabled veterans, and stay-at-home moms, she found that locating legitimate work from home opportunities was rare, time consuming, and risky.
Mrs. Malone’s Christian upbringing taught her to share her knowledge with others and help them improve the lifestyle of their families. In 2012, while volunteering to assist the unemployed and underemployed explore work from home possibilities, she began to see the frustrations of many who encountered scam after scam. It then became her mission to be the mediator of connecting legitimate work from home opportunities to all who may be interested. Thus VEO was born.
In April of 2014, Mrs. Malone met with Ms. Michelle Wilson and Mr. Michael Hall. The three of them began to refine and improve the VEO Facebook page and vision. Group membership has grown to over and today have over 25,000 members only by word of mouth, with no advertising.
Mrs. Malone started what is now called Phase 1 of VEO by creating a private group on Facebook. She posted legitimate WAH positions from companies she either worked for or researched. Members requesting invitation to the VEO group were given access to apply for scam-free telecommuting positions and connect with the community of members for advice, questions, and support. After you are accepted, you wil be sent information about the site and be able to freely access, review other members comments, and apply for open positions with the confidence the positions are scam free.
Currently, the VEO team has begun developing an exciting new look for its VEO members and companies posting positions on VEO. We are calling this our Phase 2. While some of the final implementation may change, we would like to share some of the exciting benefits both members and companies will benefit with on our newest phase.
Phase 2 is creating a cloud service allowing both members and job posters to add greater search functionality. Members will have the capability to enter their desired work criteria into a search then explore the job position database for matches specific to their specific criteria.
Only interested in seasonal work, nights, no phone, or chat? VEO allows members to display those specifics, as well as information such as days and hours available, in their employee profile, viewable by hiring agencies. The member profile is very extensive, showing details generally only discovered after one or more phone interviews.
In our Phase 2, a VEO professional profile page allows members to display a virtual persona that displays their work from home preparedness and skill set to hiring companies.
From there, they can apply to the listed companies that interest them. For employers, VEO offers permissions to view desired information in a members profile of job seekers for matches to their job requirements and allow them to notify those specific job seekers to apply for their openings. Employers will have peace of mind in knowing that VEO screens each and every applicant to verify that they are equipped to work remotely.
VEO will NEVER charge members to locate work or waste members’ time with positions that will scam them out of their hard-earned dollars or personal energy. VEO will offer a Plus membership for additional capability at a minimal cost.
